3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS - TSAVO EAST & AMBOSELI

Overview Desciption

A visit to Kenya's largest parks, Tsavo East and Amboseli. Tsavo East is known for having the largest elephant population in Kenya. Beautiful to Amboseli enjoys a spectacular backdrop - snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain. The park is known for the best places to see elephants and other animal species, such as buffalo, giraffes, zebras, lions and hippos, up close. Do you like to see birds? More than 400 species of birds live in Amboseli National Park!

Day 1:

Pick up from your coastal hotel in Mombasa, driving along the main Mombasa - Nairobi Highway. Drive inland to Tsavo East National Park, the home of the red
elephants. The park is covered with bright red soil. By rolling in here the elephants get this color, which protects them from the bright sun and the insects on their skin. We will spend our morning with game viewing in search for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes. Lunch will be at the Voi Safari Lodge with great views at the waterholes. After lunch we take a nap and we go for another game drive until dinner time at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2:

The morning starts with a game drive before, or after breakfast. After, we start our ride to Amboselii, a seasonal lake attracts water-fowl, although most of the year it is merely a dry bed of soda. Soda where desert mirages dance across the surface. Sightings include: elephants, buffalo, lions, wildebeest, giraffes, zebra and baboons and the endangered black rhino. Lunch at AA lodge, relax before the late afternoon game drive which is an ideal time to spot wild animals, back to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3:

Another morning with a game drive in Amboseli before, or after breakfast. After, we start our journey back to Mombasa with a lunch on the way. In the late afternoon, you are back in your hotel in Mombasa. For those continuing to Diani, we've planned a convenient lunch stop along the way.
